My Apartment @12:31 am
Chelsea
I was planning on going to Chinatown tonight and wander around and take some photos and maybe go to a bar or something, but those plans have changed. My night turned to shit at work and I’m getting out of here a little later than usual. Plus I have a headache. And it’s freezing outside. And why yes, I would like some ice with my whine, please and thank you! Anyway, I think I’ll do something from home tonight and what I’ve decided is to put up some late night tweets from Twitter. But first I have to get home.
I only live 14 blocks from work and most nights I walk home, but fuck it, I feel like shit so I'm cabbing it home. It's just a six dollar ride and with a dollar tip it's seven bucks. Money well spent on a night like this.
And baboom, here we are home sweet home! I've had that Mothers of Invention poster at every place I've ever lived. My brother Jim gave it to me for my 17th birthday. If only that poster could talk...well, I wouldn't really want to hear the stories.
An obligatory mirror shot of the top of my head over my Beatles butcher block album.
And here's my good friend Mr. Refrigerator which houses...
My even better friend, Mr. Beer!
It's freezing in here, time to light this thing up.
Poof! Fire!
Okay, let's see what's happening in Twitterville.
Good idea! I'm sure that's never been done before!
Kaiczynski Meet MacheDimance. I think the two of you will live and tweet happily ever after.
What, leave your room?
Wow, all the news channels must be pissed that you got the exclusive on that!
No, that's someone in serious need of a real life.
Now this guy knows how to tweet! Brief and to the point!
I had a low floater earlier today, but I flushed the toilet and it was history.
I love Jesus_M_Christ. Always first-class tweets!
And speaking of first-class tweets, our very own resident artist, "Boris" never fails to amuse on Twitter and facebook. Good one, Daddio!
I've seen the future Charlie Sheen Goddess and it is SHEILIA_MAC420. Get ready to be a winner, Sheila!
Speaking of Charlie, here's his last tweet of the evening, #WINNING! Well, he's lost a show he made almost two million an episode, his kids and wife, so I'm not sure exactly what he's winning, but what the hell, let's check in with one of his Goddesses.
And here she is, one half of the Charlie Sheen Goddess team, Bree Olson. A classy lady indeed! In fact this tweet puts the ass back in class! Goodnight everybody and see you tomorrow after dark!

Bonus Photos!
Since we've had posts about hot dogs and food carts, MAD commenter and Leaf Girl Blogger, Kari, sent in a couple of pictures of a trip from a trip she took to New York and a hot dog cart where her and her traveling troupe stopped for a dog.
Here's Kari biting into a dog in all it's ketchup glory!
And here's some of Kari's fellow travelers. I don't recognize the location, but I think it might be midtown. Thanks for the photos, Kari!

I like all the Playboy covers on the wall !!!
@MAD: "Make that a large one, Veronica", where have I seen that before? plus I like all the guitars lined up on the fridge door. I was looking closely for Barbi Benton on the wall, not sure I saw her. I don't know anything about twitter, I don't even know how to text message, lol. This is it. Hey, Kari, you look so cool biting on that hot dog, looks like your biting into that outer skin, you know, that's how you know a real NY dog, except for the ketchup,,,must always use mustard, ketchup is not allowed in NYC on hot dogs, its the law. Love the Zappa song.
The "leave your room" comeback had me LMAO! I hope this becomes a regular feature at MAD! Love that Zappa poster on your wall!
P.S. Nice photo of Kari in NYC, but I agree with Al, mustard belongs on them dogs! LOL!
Everybody has to have a special poster that gets a special place of honor on your wall no matter where you move to. Your Zappa poster is indeed a classic, Marty...I've been mourning Frank's passing for almost twenty years now. Great, great artist! I had a Linda Ronstadt poster that followed me around from apartment to apartment, also a classic (though not in the same league as Frank Zappa, I admit). Some of you may remember the Ronstadt poster, She was achingly young and beautiful when the photo was taken, She had her hands in her back pockets and was looking back over her shoulder in the poster. Once, when I was young and hopelessly in love, I thought Linda's 'Don't Cry Now' album was the ultimate 'I'm gonna get totally sloppo, crying in your beer 'faced and alienate everybody within the sound of my voice' recording of all time. Sigh.
@GENE: They're all from 1969, I bought them on Ebay.
@Al: That was from a headline in Mojo magazine, a review of the Faces boxed set.
@Barfly: I'll definitely do it again, glad you liked it!
@Jaws: I remember that photo, classic!
I love how you have the Shame surrounded by Playboy. I've never wandered over to twitter and sometimes feel like I'm missing out. Thanks for showing me maybe I'm not.
Thanks for the posting. I know its a crime but mustard makes me want to gag and the last thing you need when eating a hot dog is too gag ;) If I remember right we were right across the street from the World Trade Center. Uncle-in-law worked across the street and that is where we started our tour. But I could be remembering wrong.
@ Kari: It looks like you were by the parking lot at the intersection of Plaid and Plaid.
@cp it was the mid 90's its an excuse. I have a family photo from around that time where we were all in plaid. Awesome. I may be wearing plaid under my coat...off to check photos.
I like plaid, and it kept me from talking about women eating hot dogs.
Turns out I wasn't wearing plaid that day. And its ok, I realize the photo could have a few taglines.
@kari: I usually check out Twitter for about a half an hour at night. There's some amusing things and some decent information, but I don't get into it like a lot of people do. Thanks again for the photos!
Great "Fireside Chat" Daddio!
Thanks for the Twitter pimp!
Love that FZ poster, I have/had it too! (probably "archived" somewhere along with other relics)
Speaking of...
I have the first 20 Years of Playboy (starting with the classic FIRST issue)
All is excellent condition. (they were my Dad's and it looks like I am responsible for finding a buyer)
They were appraised a few years ago before he got sick for quite a bit.
Anyone know of any interested parties, you can reach me through Marty here.
Sorry for the "Classified Ad" here, but you are a very knowledgeable bunch.
Keep up the great work!
Wow, I had no idea that playground equipment had arms. Thanks, nctimes, for enlightening me. And hello, Kari and friends! Nice pics!

Kari doesn't lose control with the hot dog....
i prefer the patty duke lose control method myself...

I collect magnets so i need to blow up that pic of the fridge door..
i know weird thing to collect..
and my fridge is not that empty inside or that clean.. outside or in.
some of my magnets are still packed...starting to really miss them but not sure what box they are in.. been here 2 and half years...i should unpack huh...
i also collect coffee mugs.. usually a road trip involves coming home with mugs and magnets...yes that many!
@gidge, I prefer to lose control with sausage. I collect magnets from places I go on vacation. I was also curious to see what magnets marty had.
And what's up with that theme song? Does she just really like to eat hot dogs, or are they trying to tell us she likes to "eat" hot dogs?
@"Boris:" Holy shitballs, the first twenty years? Have you thought about trying to sell them on eBay?
@Biff: Ha ha ha! You still gots it, Bifferoonie!
@Gidgie: What's the Patty Duke method? You lost me with that.
Its from the patty duke show in the sixties.."A hot dog makes her lose control" and then she does some weird primitive dance.
@Gidgie: That's weird, I don't remember that and I used to watch that show! "A hot dog makes her lose control" it sounds almost porno-like!
@Marty
Kramer did a weird dance after eating that 80 year old hot dog at the Alec Theatre......Damn that Lloyd Braun.
@Terry: Ha! I remember that one! Lloyd Braun!
was pondering what to say...never watched "patty duke" never watched that thing "kramer" was in don't twit i mean tweet don't facefuck mean book...believe or not have four computers at wrok and as many at home...at wrok i do peruse but don't post (being watched only wrok related stuff allowed)...on the home front only post here and there...by the time i get there MAD has already been (can't out wise-ass his comments)...MAD thanks for inviting us into your abode and thoughts...again...
Gene Autry was the most. It may sound like a joke - Go and have a look in my bedroom, It's covered with Gene Autry posters. He was my first musical influence.
Ringo Starr
rr
@rr: Happy to have you in the old abode and Billy Gray matter. Never knew about the Autry influence on Ringo! This link brings it all full circle: http://twe.ly/EBfb
MAD...what a link..thanks!...there is so much out there...hard to grasp any of it...dig the line: "not all the music in the film is on the album, and not all the music on the album is in the film."...guess that sums it all up...not all is in any one place...'cept maybe MAD and followers will do it here...
rr
@rr: No, problemo, thought you'd enjoy it!
