Live, from New York, it’s Cheeseburger Saturday Night! Starring brgr and featuring the ready for Prime Beef Player, Marty Wombacher. Ladies and gentlemen, please give a hand to brgr!
Okay, I had to go back to work because I left my phone there after last night's monster shift. There's a cheeseburger joint nearby where I work called brgr, and I've always been curious about it, but have avoided it because I thought they didn't serve beer. But I checked out their menu and it turns out they do indeed have bottled beer. So that's tonight's cheeseburger destination.
Sheesh, this wig store window always gives me the creeps. I've probably passed by it hundreds of times and it still sends a chill down my spine.
And here we are at brgr. I like their logo and sign.
The restaurant is long and narrow with wooden and brick walls. It's got a nice, casual feel to it.

I thought I'd start out with a beer and the lovely Nicole happily serves up a Stella.

But I chose to sit at the counter in the back.
This is where all the action is.
I checked out the menu and decided on the "Down On The Farm Brgr" which is a cheddar cheese burger with bacon, horseradish sauce, onion, lettuce, tomato and pickles. Sounds good!

The cheeseburger was fantastic and I got a side of the onion hay, which was also delicious. A great meal.
And for dessert Nicole serves up a shake shot, which is 5 ounces of one of their famous and award winning milkshakes.
I got the black and white shake.
And yes, it lives up to its title that New York magazine gave it back in 2007.
Evan was seated next to me and told me he's been coming here for the burgers for the last four years. Evan's a comedic actor who participates in shows at both the Magnet Theater and Upright Citizen's Brigade.

My Meal
As stated above, my cheeseburger was delicious and the vibe in here is casual and very friendly. Dwight told me once you come in here you are treated as family and it certainly felt that way. The menu here is simple with over ten types of burgers, a hot dog for non-burger eaters and sides including: onion hay, Russert potato fries and sweet potato fries. They also have beer and wine and you have to try the award-winning milkshake.

The onion hay looks intriguing, the cheeseburger juicy and inviting as hell....and as for the surprise link...yes, by all means, EAT the cheeseburger...eat anything at all before it's too late!!
Those round backrest cushions there looks like it came from a padded cell,,,hell it stops the tantrums,,,,lol,,,just kidding,,,,the burger looked great and I like it just like that with raw onions. That shake,,,man, looks just right,,,a five ounce size is just about right,, after a few beers. Upside down Gumby,,, wonder what you two were up to in the bathroom,,,,?
Burger looks great and that shake looks really good! I agree with Al, looks like the perfect size for an after dinner drinkable dessert. I don't want to know what you and Gumby were doing in the bathroom! LOL!
Looks great there ! ... and we love sweet potato fries ! ... might have to try this place on Friday after we get off the train at Penn Station !

Oh that onion hay looks delish! Tom made two types of stuffed burgers on our vacation and they were amazing-good way to eat your protien!
I don't know the wig girls are kinda hot. The menu looks great. I would like to try the strawberry pomegranate shake. Curious what is a black & white shake? Chocolate mixed into vanilla?
damn!...havin' a tough time comin' up w/ a new way to say "it certainly looks like MAD eats better than i."...but that picture of MAD's dinner looked no less than desirable...but readin' the reviews left me totally confused...i know that's not hard to do but it was almost like it was a different place...or maybe it was mariah carey doin' those other reviews...nice tune and eat chesseburger...

He made a French Onion burger that had caramelized onions on the inside, topped with cheese and horseradish mayo (I'm not a mayo gal, but a little bit was good), and then he made a chicken burger that had a bacon/apple mix inside. It was divine!

Man, that burger looks good! But I might go for the Fresh Morning Back. Usually, I think an egg sounds disgusting on top of the beef patty, but I don't know...sounds good right now.
